  • FAQs about the filters

    Are these calibration standards certified?
The Spectrophotometer calibration standards are NOT traceable to NIST through an unbroken chain of accredited laboratories. They are, however, being offered as being traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), MD, USA. This satisfies the demands of most users, but that is your own decision, not by our or anyone else.
The Spectrophotometer calibration standards product line is just our own statement that the products have been checked against traceable standards.

Are all calibration filters created equal?
Absolutely not! Each filter has its own feature. We calibrate each filter separately. So is there no one that is exactly the same.

What should I do if I think the filters are not accurate?
If the filters are bought within 30 days, you can return for 100% money back. (Shipping fee not included).
If the filters are bought more than 30 days or if the filters are dirty, you can send it back to us for recalibration. The recalibration is FREE. (Shipping fee not included)

Where can I buy NIST traceable standards?
You can buy from the NIST website, here is the link http://ts.nist.gov/MeasurementServices/Calibrations/opticalproperties.cfm
